Smoke Damage in Jackson, NJ

Chem sponges are the unsung heroes of post smoke/soot damage cleaning. I mean, paper towels are great and all. But they don't last long during the cleaning process. And they aren't formulated to withstand smoke/soot cleaning. As you can see from this photo, there was some definite smoke and soot damage from a small fire that needed to be cleaned up. The streak on the ceiling is from the chem sponge we used to see how bad the smoke and soot were. Sometimes it's hard to see the residue on hard surfaces. Once we got the call to come out, SERVPRO of Howell/Wall brought some chem sponges and got to work cleaning the smoke and soot.
